Dr. Baratta currently holds several positions. Dr. Baratta is actively serving as chief executive officer of Ascent Surgical Partners; as chairman and CEO of MedAmerica HealthCare Suppliers, LLC; as CEO of 3D Custom Collagen, Inc.; and as medical director for the Visiting Physicians of the Treasure Coast.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Baratta served the Florida Society of Ophthalmology and American Academy of Ophthalmology; as vice chairman and vice president of business development for Regenicin; as CEO and vice chairman for Ecosphere Technologies, Inc.; as Chairman of FPIC Insurance Group; and as director of Florida Physicians Insurance Company.
Dr. Baratta also operated a private practice for 28 years. During that time, he was also a business entrepreneur, owning and operating multiple businesses — ranging from a Hatteras Dealership to an Aaron's Rent to Own franchise.
Dr. Baratta received his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed an ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical School.
