Dr. Bernot is Bravado Health's chief medical officer.

Dr. Bernot has been in the healthcare field for more than 20 years. His areas of expertise include healthcare information technology, value-based healthcare initiatives and patient engagement. This background enables Dr. Bernot to provide Bravado Health with strategic clinical guidance for product and service offerings, ensuring that the company's vision aligns with the most critical needs of both patients and the healthcare community.

Dr. Bernot remains clinically active as a practicing family physician with Wake Forest Baptist Healthcare System. Prior to joining Bravado Health, Dr. Bernot was the Vice President of Quality Measurement Initiatives at the National Quality Forum (NQF) in Washington, D.C. He led NQF’s Health Equity Program and health information technology initiatives while also prioritizing the organization's measure portfolio. He was an active leader in the evaluation of measures for several high-profile federal programs including the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS).

Dr. Bernot has also served as the Vice President of Product Development and Information Technology for the Quality Indicator Project at the Maryland Hospital Association. In that role, he led the design and development of quality measurement applications that were used by more than 500 hospitals across the U.S.

Dr. Bernot earned a doctorate from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and a bachelor of science degree from Duquesne University.
