We are looking for a UX Engineer to be a key member of the engineering team and build our healthcare platform focused on improving patient clinical outcomes and experience while reducing cost and increasing efficiency for health systems. User experience is at the forefront of how we will create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful products that people will love. We strive to learn and understand our users’ needs, behaviors, and emotions to gather insights that inform product strategy and design. As a UX Engineer, you'll work on the front end of our products and features used by people everyday. The work is challenging, fast-paced, and always changing. You have demonstrated analytical skills, an unwavering commitment to quality, a collaborative work ethic, and cutting-edge coding skills. You live and breathe the fundamentals of JavaScript (not just the latest Javascript framework), CSS, HTML, and command a portfolio of web technologies new and old - all in order to launch innovative features. What You Might Do in Your First Year

  • Build a healthcare platform that is personalized to the patient and customized to the clinicians.
  • Work closely with UX/Product/Engineering to ensure our design system embodied in Atomic Design gets translated to a living web & mobile experience.
  • Gamification on patient experience to promote greater engagement & higher satisfaction scores.
  • Explore product concepts to find promising directions that address both human and business needs. Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from UX designers and researchers.
  • Deliver innovative, engaging prototypes using the latest in front-end technologies.
  • Contribute to the engineering culture, and mentor other software engineers within the team

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, HCI, Design, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 - 5 years experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Backbone, Angular), CSS and CSS pre-processing frameworks (Sass or Less) & Flexbox.
  • Experience in designing and implementing user interfaces (UIs). Experience in development or prototyping.
  • Experience in building solutions for web as we all as mobile apps.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with atomic design principles and the ability to implement them. Containers, Screens, Presentational Components - you should know what all of these are and how they fit in.
  • 5+ years of coding experience in one or more of the listed languages: JavaScript, HTML, CSS. SASS, LESS, Styled Components are a plus.
  • Experience with appealing visuals and smart, extensible code.
  • Experience with non-graphical interfaces like voice & chat.
