To clean the window on your fingerprint reader, apply the sticky side of a piece of adhesive cellophane tape to the window and then peel it away.

Under heavy use, the coating on the reader window may turn cloudy. Use a damp, soft, lint-free cloth with a mild ammonia-based cleaner to clean the reader's window. Avoid getting moisture in any openings. Do not spray liquid directly on the reader. Don't use aerosol sprays, solvents, abrasives, or cleaners containing alcohol that might damage the window.
